Healthy Baked Chicken Strips

My kids like most kids love chicken strips!! But the ones you buy from the supermarket can be full of unhealthy ingredients and trans fats!! It’s actually really easy to make your own at home! Here is our favourite recipe!

Baked Chicken Strips

  • 1 pound of organic chicken breasts cut into strips
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp of ground flax seed
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp garlic power
  • Freshly ground pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit
  • Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl
  • Dip the chicken breasts into the egg and then into the almond flour mixture
  • Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
  • Repeat with remaining strips
  • Bake the strips for about 10 minutes flip over and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cooked through and crispy
