Vegetarian…What To Do?

If you are thinking about changing your diet to a vegetarian diet but don’t know where to start, I’M HERE TO HELP! You’re not alone.

Changing your diet can be a difficult process, especially if you are doing it alone. Believe me I know that being the only vegetarian in your own house can be hard.

But wanting to change your diet is not enough. Do your homework, and you’ll be successful.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when you’re thinking on a diet change:

  • Know why are you doing this. It could be ethics, health, the environment or just personal preference. Be prepared for the questions coming your way.
  • You can go gradually. Eliminate slowly until you reach your goal.
  • Research about the diet and recipes. Buy cookbooks.
  • Learn how to cook. (vegetarians eat more than salads).
  • If you need them to transition, buy a meat substitute (not the healthiest choice but they help).
  • Supplements (you’ll need one or two).
  • Know if you make mistakes that it’s ok! Temptations are everywhere and if you give in a few times, it’s definitely not the end of the world.
  • Remember the internet is your friend. Everything is on the internet including information about the vegetarian diet, recipes or if you just need support.

Changing your diet is never easy, but It can be done. I will do more posts on the subject. We will learn and grow together.
