One of the best ways to improve your family’s diet is to exchange items you usually prepare with healthier versions. My favourite trade so far has been to swap out cookies for protein balls! These lovely little bites easily found their place in my household; they are delicious, there are so many different varieties, and they are actually easier to make. No baking required!
We are a family on the go, so having quick and easy snacks on hand is crucial for getting through the day. Protein bites are great to pack in lunches, can be eaten pre or post workout, or even just to keep you from grabbing for a sugary treat! There are so many recipes to choose from and you can even make up your own using your favourite ingredients. Pinterest is also a wonderful place to find inspiration, as this site enables you to search certain qualities (ie. nut free, low carb, etc.) I invite you to take a look and see what you can find! In the meantime, here is my go-to recipe! It is super simple, vegan and peanut free!
