Post-Workout Protein Waffle

This protein waffle is vegan, gluten-free and perfect for a post-workout snack.

Protein Waffle

 Ingredients

Dry mix:

  • 1/4 cup chickpea flour
  • 1 scoop gluten free protein powder (any flavour)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp flax seed

Wet mix:

  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
  • Optional 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Optional Extra flavourings ie cacao powder, crystallized lemon, chai spices etc.
 Method
  • Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, stir to combine
  • Whisk in non-dairy milk until consistency is thick
  • Cook for approximately 10 minutes in a waffle iron on medium heat
  • Optional Top with banana ice cream
