The 3 Ways I Use Coconut Oil Every Day!

I am a huge proponent of coconut oil! When someone comes to me with an ailment almost always the first thing I ask is “Do you use coconut oil?”

I stumbled upon coconut oil when I was searching for a healthy oil alternative for cooking. I had no idea at the time that I had hit the jackpot in regards to superfoods!

The Benefits of Coconut Oil

Soon after purchasing my first jar I began researching more ways to incorporate this oil into my life. It didn’t take long to realize that coconut oil would be a part of my life forever. The benefits of this miracle oil are endless!

  • Alzheimer’s Disease prevention and treatment
  • Prevents heart disease and high blood pressure
  • Reduces inflammation and arthritis
  • Improves memory and brain function
  • Boosts immune system
  • Protects against cancer
  • Boost your energy and increases your metabolism

And much more!

These are the three things I do every day to make sure I am reaping the rewards of this miracle oil.

  • I eat it….Yes, I straight up eat it by the spoonful, I try to get about 4 tbsp. in daily! It took me awhile to get over the texture, but now I have no problem with it. Now it is just a regular part of my morning supplement regime. I take all my vitamins etc. and then I eat a big spoonful, and put the other 3 tbsp. in a glass and take small spoonful’s throughout the day. I try to have it all in me by suppertime because I find that it gives me energy and sometimes makes it difficult to fall asleep.
  • I pull it, some of you may be saying “What the heck does that mean??”. Well, I could write an entire blog on the benefits of that, but for now, I’ll just tell you what it means. I put about 1 tsp. in my mouth and swish it around for 20min. I’ll give you a few reasons I do this, it detoxes the body, and it whitens the teeth and is good for overall oral hygiene.
  • I use it as a moisturizer, it is my replacement for body lotion, so not only am I getting all the benefits of the oil I am avoiding all the toxins in regular lotions. I only use it in the evening though because it does feel quite oily, but if you’re just putting it on before bed that’s not really an issue.

So, if you’re not already using this amazing oil, I highly suggest you start!!
