Here’s a delicious recipe to fill your cravings when you are on the go, at home, or travelling…
Banana & Protein Bites
Ingredients
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 4 tbsp. of almond butter
- 2 tsp. of chia seeds
- 1 tbsp. of hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp. of shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp. of wheat germ
- 2 tbsp. (honey) agave syrup
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/4 cup..chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, except chocolate chips and shredded coconut, in the food processor
- Pulse ingredients until they form a light paste
- Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl, then with a wooden spoon, gently fold in chocolate chips
- When combined, gently roll into small balls
- Take each ball and roll in shredded coconut to coat
- Place balls in an airtight container and store in freezer until ready to use
- Protein bites will last in the freezer for up to 4 months
Makes 2 cups or 24 bites (depending on size of balls that are made)
