Canada Food Guide Smoothie
I have been making smoothies for quite a while and I always thought mine was nutritious but after I really studied the Canada Food Guide I realized I could make my smoothies a virtual powerhouse following the Canada Food Guide rules. The following is one I make. (You may choose your desired amount of ingredients accordingly.)
Ingredients
- Almond Milk ( can use any milk- goat milk really adds thickness)
- 2 tsp Flaxseed Oil ( you can use real flax or chia seeds but I have difficulty digesting them)
- Pineapple
- Mango
- Kale
- Avocado
- Protein Powder
Instructions
- Blend until it is the desired thickness. You probably have to add some water to liquify more.
This smoothie has 1 milk serving; 2 fruit; 2 vegetable; 1 fat and protein. It is nutritious, healthy and filling.
