Immune-Boosting Green Smoothie

This smoothie is packed full of nutrients, phytonutrients and electrolytes. During this difficult time in our world right now, this is a great smoothie to add to your morning to give you an extra immunity and energy boost. All of the ingredients in this smoothie are extremely supportive for our immune system, digestive health and bonus- it is delicious!

Ginger: Ginger is known for its antiviral and antibacterial effects. It is known to fight off respiratory infections and inhibits and breaks down mucous production. Ginger also reduces inflammation and soothes the digestive tract.

Parsley: High in Vitamin K, magnesium, calcium and potassium. It is very rich in antioxidants such as flavonoids, carotenoids and vitamin C. Antioxidants play a huge role in keeping our immune system strong and fighting free radicals.

Spirulina: Another powerful antioxidant and a source of protein. It contains many nutrients such as B vitamins, iron, vitamin E etc. Like ginger, spirulina has anti-inflammatory properties and its antioxidants are powerful tools for protecting your body and fighting off illness.

Immune-Boosting Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 2 cups of spinach (preferably organic)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • 1-inch ginger, peeled
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 Medjool date
  • 1 tsp. Spirulina

Instructions

  • Add coconut water and greens first- blend. Next, add the rest of the ingredients!
