Overnight Oats

July 6, 2017

Hey everyone!

It’s no secret that having breakfast is part of a healthy diet and a great routine to get into. Not only will this fill you up but it will also boost your energy levels, set you up for better eating habits and can even help with weight management.

I wanted to share one of my favourite breakfast go-to’s. It’s easy, quick and tasty.
There are so many variations of overnight oats but this one is loaded with all of the food groups to start your day off right. I’ve added protein to make it a full breakfast and great for a post workout snack.

Overnight oats

What’s needed

  • 1/3 cup quick oats
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein (I use chocolate Kaizen Naturals) mixed with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

I top it off with a few raspberries or blueberries but you can change it up to whatever you feel is best for your taste buds.

They hold in the fridge for 3-4 days so I always make a large batch and store it for the week for an “anytime” snack. It’s also great for those mornings where you find you’re in a rush.

Enjoy!
