Pumpkin Spice Creamer

September 23, 2020

It’s that time of year again!  Pumpkin spice flavoured everything is everywhere! While I LOVE a good pumpkin spice latte, I don’t love the ingredients. Most of the time, it’s full of artificial flavours, crazy amounts of sugar (up to 50 grams in a famous coffee shop’s large!), and NO pumpkin! Plus it’s expensive!

So last fall I made my own pumpkin spice coffee creamer. It was delicious, cheap, and had ingredients I could trust AND pronounce! Bonus that this version is actually dairy-free AND sugar-free! You could add in pumpkin pie spice instead of the individual spices. Just make sure you check the ingredients! You want to use a spice blend that doesn’t have added sugar or “extra” ingredients.

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Ingredients

  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • pumpkin puree (I used about 4 tablespoons but you could add more or less depending on your taste)
  • 3 tbs maple syrup (you could use another healthy sweetener of your choice, adding more or less to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground clove
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Combine the ingredients in a blender and store in the fridge for up to a week.  Add as much or as little as you want to your coffee.  Try frothing a bit and topping your coffee with it, too
