Some Of The Benefits Of Red Cabbage

I created this recipe to find a way to use more of the red cabbage in my day to day life as it’s a powerful antioxidant. Here is why you should as well.

  • Red cabbage strengthens your immune system
  • It improves heart health
  • Vitamin A, contribute to healthy eyes and vision
  • Vitamin K1 (naturally found in plants), Best known for its role in blood clotting, preventing excessive bleeding
  • It belongs to the cruciferous family (like Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, Kale, just to name a few) and contain lots of vitamin C so as a result it fights inflammation and protects cells from damage. It’s definitely an awesome cancer prevention food
  • Your body needs vitamin C to make collagen, which is the connective tissue that gives structure, strength and support to muscles, skin, bones and other tissues throughout the body. Collagen is also essential for the process of healing wounds
  • The high concentrations of certain essential minerals make red cabbage one of the best vegetables to eat to ensure healthy bone growth and development
  • It is rich in calcium, magnesium, manganese, and other important minerals that contribute to bone growth and mineral density that protects against osteoporosis, arthritis, and various other types of inflammation
