Hello Kayla! Can you first share a bit about your background, specialization, and what inspired you to pursue holistic nutrition?
At Triple Goddess Nutrition & Holistic Health Inc., my approach is rooted in both clinical experience and compassionate, individualized care. I have worked in the medical field for over 21 years alongside family physicians and specialists, which gave me firsthand insight into the important role nutrition plays in overall health and disease prevention. Throughout my career, I consistently saw a gap in patient education when it came to nutrition and lifestyle support, especially as a preventive care measure. That realization inspired me to pursue holistic nutrition so I could help bridge that gap and empower individuals to take a more proactive role in their health.
I specialize in evidence-based nutrition and holistic wellness strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. My areas of focus include weight management, blood sugar regulation and prediabetes, hormonal balance, digestive health, inflammation, food sensitivities, bariatric nutrition, and overall lifestyle support. I work collaboratively with clients and, when appropriate, alongside their healthcare providers to create realistic and sustainable wellness plans.
One of the aspects of my practice I’m most passionate about is accessibility. I believe quality nutrition support should be available to everyone, which is why I created a low-income program designed to provide affordable nutrition services to members of the community who may not otherwise have access to this kind of care. My goal is not only to help people improve their health today, but also to educate and support them in building long-term, sustainable habits that enhance their quality of life.
What’s your unique approach to holistic nutrition, and how does it shape the way you support your clients?
My approach to holistic nutrition is highly individualized and client-centred. I believe that health and wellness are not “one size fits all,” and that every person’s body, lifestyle, medical history, and goals are unique. Because of this, I take the time to truly listen to my clients so they feel heard, supported, and understood throughout their journey.

How has your perspective on health and wellness changed or evolved since studying Holistic Nutrition?
Since studying holistic nutrition, my perspective on health and wellness has evolved significantly. I’ve seen a growing shift toward preventive and integrative healthcare, with more individuals recognizing the importance of nutrition, lifestyle, stress management, and overall wellness in supporting long-term health outcomes. Holistic nutrition is becoming increasingly respected as people seek approaches that address the root causes of health concerns rather than only managing symptoms.
Since becoming a holistic nutrition professional, what’s one habit or daily ritual you’ve implemented that has had the biggest impact on your well-being?
Since becoming a holistic nutrition professional, one of the biggest changes I’ve made in my own life is becoming much more mindful about the quality and sourcing of the food I consume. I pay close attention to where my food comes from, the ingredients it contains, and how my body responds to certain additives or preservatives. Over time, I’ve learned how significantly food quality can impact energy levels, digestion, inflammation, and overall well-being.
Can you share a standout success story or transformation from a client that deeply impacted you?
One client story that has had a profound impact on me involved a woman who underwent gastric bypass surgery several years ago. Following her surgery, she experienced ongoing health complications, including severe stomach pain, food intolerances, and multiple hospitalizations. She had undergone extensive testing, but no clear answers were ever provided, and she often felt dismissed and frustrated after being treated with fluids and discharged home. After being released from her bariatric program only one year post-surgery, she felt lost and unsupported in managing her long-term nutritional needs.
I took the time to complete a thorough health and nutrition history to better understand her situation. Through this process, it became clear that her vitamin supplementation and nutritional needs had never been properly adjusted as her body and weight changed over time following surgery. Together, we implemented a personalized nutrition and supplementation regimen tailored to her specific needs. Since making those changes, she has avoided hospital visits for over two years and has experienced a significant improvement in her overall quality of life.
This experience reinforced the importance of individualized care, ongoing nutritional monitoring, and truly listening to clients. It also highlighted how critical long-term nutrition support can be, especially for individuals navigating complex health journeys such as post-bariatric surgery care.

How do you stay inspired and continue growing in the ever-evolving world of holistic wellness?
I stay inspired by the people I work with every day. Each individual’s health journey is unique, and it is incredibly rewarding to witness clients regain confidence, improve their well-being, and take positive steps toward lasting lifestyle changes. Seeing those transformations continually reinforces my passion for holistic nutrition and wellness.
The field of holistic health is constantly evolving, with growing research and increasing awareness around the connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and overall health. More individuals are actively seeking integrative and preventive approaches to support their wellness journeys, which motivates me to continue expanding my knowledge and staying current with evidence-based practices, emerging research, and holistic wellness strategies. I am committed to ongoing professional growth so I can continue providing compassionate, personalized, and effective support to my clients. My goal is to combine clinical insight with holistic principles to help individuals feel empowered, educated, and supported throughout every stage of their health journey.
If you could give one piece of advice to current students or recent graduates, what would it be?
My advice to current students and recent graduates would be to never stop learning and to remain open-minded in your approach to health and wellness. The healthcare and holistic wellness fields are constantly evolving, and some of the most meaningful growth comes from continuing to educate yourself, gaining hands-on experience, and truly listening to the people you serve.
I would also encourage graduates to stay passionate about their purpose and remember why they entered the field in the first place. Whether you work in clinical care, nutrition, or holistic wellness, your ability to educate, inspire, and support others can have a lasting impact on someone’s quality of life.
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects, goals, or new directions for your wellness practice?
I’m currently developing an exciting new six-month Metabolic Reset Program designed to provide clients with long-term, sustainable support for their health goals. The program includes 18 educational modules, personalized one-on-one appointments, and ongoing guidance focused on areas such as metabolism, blood sugar regulation, hormonal balance, gut health, stress management, sleep optimization, emotional eating, movement, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
My goal with this program is to create a supportive and realistic approach to wellness that empowers individuals to better understand their bodies, build healthier habits, and achieve lasting results. I’m passionate about combining evidence-based nutrition with holistic wellness strategies to help clients feel educated, supported, and confident throughout their journey.
