Whether you are a health practitioner or someone who is interested in aromatherapy, this course will help you navigate how to get the most out of your oils. You will also fully understand the chemical constituents and how to incorporate oils safely.
You can take Aromatherapy as your specialization options in combination with the Holistic Nutrition & Health Coach Certification or the Holistic Nutritionist Program, as an individual course for general interest, or as a standalone practitioner program in combination with our anatomy & physiology course.
This course qualifies for continuing education credits through the Health Coach Alliance (HCA) and the Canadian Association of Integrative Nutrition (CAIN).
When essential oils are applied to the skin, they are absorbed and carried by the bloodstream to every cell in the body within minutes.

The average completion time for this course is four months based on a part-time study schedule, but you may complete it sooner if you have more time available for learning. You have a maximum of 12 months to complete the course.
This course can be taken as a stand-alone certificate course for general interest or as a full designation program in combination with the anatomy & physiology (AP) course. We accept transfer credit for AP for those who have already taken a post-secondary AP course.
You must complete a lesson test after each lesson, and a proctored final exam upon completion of the course. Students must score 80% or higher to pass the course.

The Aromatherapy 101+102 two-part certificate course is perfect for health professionals, nutrition practitioners, Health Coaches and/or anyone interested in essential oils and how they can help with a wide variety of health ailments.
It is also a phenomenal addition to your professional toolbox if you are already a holistic or conventional health practitioner, physician, massage therapist, personal trainer, yoga instructor, or anyone who works with individuals with health conditions, in addition to those who are trying to improve their health.
Upon completion of the Aromatherapy course, you will receive a certificate. Upon completion of all the required courses in the Holistic Nutrition & Health Coach program or the Holistic Nutritionist program, you will also receive an official designation and a stamped diploma in the mail listing you as a Certified Nutrition Coach. Grads of the full program qualify for registration status and professional membership and liability insurance through various organizations including HCA, CAIN, NANP and CEBHC. This course qualifies for 40 CE credits through HCA.
You have a maximum of 6 months to complete the Aromatherapy course but may complete it sooner if you have more time to devote to your studies. The average completion time is 8 weeks. You have another 6 months in which to complete the Anatomy & Physiology course.
Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of the aromatherapy course. This course in conjunction with the Anatomy & Physiology (AP) course entitles you to the Certified Aromatherapy Practitioner designation. Those who have completed the required courses in the Holistic Nutritionist program will automatically receive the Aromatherapy Practitioner designation due to having already completed the AP course.
Yes, you are welcome to take the aromatherapy course as it is open to the public and is a very popular option for those interested in the safe use of essential oils. It is also a good choice for practitioners looking to enhance their current profession.

Graduates of the NutraPhoria Holistic Nutritionist program and those who have already taken Anatomy & Physiology from a post-secondary institution are eligible for the Certified Aromatherapy Practitioner designation upon completion of this course.

Completion of both the aromatherapy course and the anatomy & physiology (AP) course leads to the Certified Aromatherapy Practitioner designation. Those who are taking aromatherapy for general interest can enrol in the single aromatherapy course for $599 and do not need to take AP. You also have the option of enrolling in AP at a later date through our individual course page.
The aromatherapy course can be added on as a specialization when you enrol in the Tier 1 Holistic Nutrition & Health Coach Program or the full 2 Tier Holistic Nutritionist Program.
