Even though it’s fall in Canada right now, I still think it’s important to detox and feel fresh!
One of the ways I love to do this, isn’t by water fasting or…even juice fasting, but by eating healthy foods that help promote detox while still getting to chew on food. This is especially important if you are active as you need the energy to fuel through your workouts. It is also a great way to get in clean micro and macro nutrients in a quick meal!
So here is my go to…
Green Power Detox Bowl!
Ingredients
- 1 frozen organic banana
- Few chunks of frozen of pineapple
- Splash of coconut milk (or other non-dairy milk)
- 1 scoop of vegan vanilla protein powder (whichever you like the taste of the best)
- 1 tsp chlorella powder
- 1 tsp spirulina
- 1 tsp wheatgrass
- 1 tbsp of chia seeds
- Handful of baby spinach
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Toppings
- Fresh fig
- Goji berries
- Coconut flakes
- Fruit and nut mix
You can have fun with your toppings. The above are just a few things I love to put on top of my smoothie bowl.
