Hormone & Micro-Nutrient Testing!

Hormone & Micro-Nutrient Testing!

OK guys, this is a sample of the SPECTRACELL testing I have been talking about. I am pointing to the tests I suggest as most beneficial. I recommend this for EVERYONE, not just women with thyroid/hormonal imbalances:

The left side of the lab slip are the Micro-nutrient tests; if you are deficient in anything here, you can experience a variety of health problems & symptoms, some you may not be aware of.

The right side are the thyroid & hormone panels, that will give a good Dr the info that they need to determine if you have any hormonal irregularities. (the normal spectrum is SO large in most of these, so MOST Drs ignore this info all together. IF you have a Dr you trust, you can work with them to balance you until you feel great almost every day—>which is what I constantly have to do since hashimotos has my hormones ever changing once they are balanced.)

Reverse T3 is part of the thyroid testing. A lot of Drs simply do a basic TSH test to see if someone has a thyroid issues, THAT IS NOT ACCURATE! My TSH has always been in the normal range. It was my T3/T4, Dhea, progesterone that is non existent in my body and it created a LOT of issues for me!

The far right MTHFR test is something my Dr believes I have a mutation of, and there is a lot of evidence that a VERY high % of (mostly) women are lacking the MTHFR gene. What is does is ACTIVATE your Bs & folate (not folic acid), without being activated, it won’t matter the amount of B vitamins you take, your body will never use them. B’s are responsible for MANY metabolic processes in your body & if not working properly, they can create lots of fun little problems within your body.

A few symptoms you might have if you are deficient in any of the B-vitamin family

  • Fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Diarrhea
  • Nervousness
  • Numbness
  • Tingling sensation in the fingers and toes
  • Weakness
  • Pale skin
  • Diarrhea
  • Weight loss
  • Fever
  • Numbness or tingling sensation in the hands and feet
  • Loss of balance
  • Confusion, memory loss, and moodiness
  • heart disease
  • male infertility
  • higher risk of breast cancer

The B vitamins are synergistic. They work together during the body’s metabolic processes, so do not simply start taking niacin (B3) because you read it helps depression. Consult your EDUCATED health care practitioner and come up with a balanced game plan! I happen to have found an MD that specializes in holistic treatments as well as being well versed in vitamin/mineral deficiencies and solutions!

At this time I am doing the micro-nutrient testing, I will share in a new blog once I have the results!

I recommend EVERYONE do at least the hormone & micro-nutrient. An investment in your health NOW will save you a TON later. Best of luck!
