Pregnancy Superfood Smoothie

October 30, 2018

During my first trimester of pregnancy, I had a difficult time consuming a variety of foods and getting the proper nutrition my body needed. No, I didn’t suffer from severe morning sickness, or have terrible aversions to foods. To be honest the first trimester of my pregnancy was pretty easy and I considered myself one of the lucky ones! The biggest concern for me was ensuring that I was consuming enough fruits and vegetables to properly nourish my body and the growing human inside of me! All I can say is thank god for smoothies!

Smoothies were my saving grace throughout most of my pregnancy. It was a quick and easy option in the morning to fuel my body with protein, healthy fats, carbohydrates and a ton of much needed nutrients that my body was craving. It was like an easy button for a well-balanced meal and helped me to start my day off on the right foot! Now whenever I meet a new client that is pregnant, I can’t wait to share my pregnancy superfood smoothie with them so they can reap the benefits as well!
