Why do people always say, ” Let’s go out for coffee?”. How about going out for tea? The coffee industry is huge, but teas have health benefits that far exceed their coffee competition! Herbal teas and green teas are known for their phytonutrients and antioxidants. Antioxidants prevent the body from forming free radicals which are linked to cancer and have a variety of other negative effects. What are phytonutrients? Found in many berries and pomegranates, ellagic acid has been shown to help fight against cancer! The list of phytonutrients is long. These are just a few, but just from this short list, you can see the benefits are huge.
