It is Coconuts!!

When I was a kid I used to go to a Mexican beach during the summer. I used to observe a bunch of guys jumping into the palm trees to get all those coconuts from the top, then other guys cut them to stick a straw, and enjoy the delicious water from the inside; my dad would not allow me to drink from his. When I was older, I discovered his coconut had gone to the bar, to get added in on that coconut water. Once the water was gone, there was a guy with a big machete to cut the whole thing and get “ the coconut meat”.

At that time I did not know all the benefits of this nut.

Coconut oil and flesh benefits and uses go beyond. I have read many articles uncovering the secrets to this amazing food: namely healthy fats called medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). These unique fats include:

  • Caprylic acid
  • Lauric acid
  • Capric acid

More than a percent of the oils in coconut is made up of these three healthy fatty acids, and a big percent of the fat in coconut oil is healthy saturated fat.

When I was young, I always got concerned about fats. Were they accumulating on my tissues? MCFAs found in coconut oil provide the perfect source of energy so it is not really stored as fat

Unlike long-chain fatty acids found in plant-based oils, MCFAs are:

  • Easier to digest
  • Antimicrobial and antifungal
  • Smaller in size, allowing easier cell permeability for immediate energy
  • Processed by the liver, which means that they’re immediately converted to energy instead of being stored as fat

Now that I am aging and before I started this course I had lots of skin problems. Everything was itchy and dry. I was so desperate that I tried everything, even eating it coconut oil. Now I know I am aware coconut’s oil benefits from the inside and outside

Not only is using coconut oil on your skin an all-natural method to eliminate many of the toxic ingredients that are found on drugstore shelves, but it’s also a cost-effective way to care for your body. Coconut oil also is able to penetrate your skin on a deeper level than your average product because of its low molecular weight and the way it bonds with proteins.

I was very surprised to learn just how great coconut oil is for the skin.

Some ways to use Coconut Oil for skin:

Body Butter

You can combine shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and essential oils of your choice for a butter that’s great for your skin after the shower. It works so well due to the saturated fats that help the skin stay moisturized, with the fat preventing moisture loss through the skin’s pores. These fats give the skin a healthy, smooth and even tone.

Body Oil

If your skin’s seriously dry, coconut oil for skin is one of the best remedies. Rub coconut oil in hands to warm it up and then use it in lieu of body lotion. Focus on spots like elbows and knees that tend to get even drier than other spots.

Dry Hands

Rub coconut oil over hands and then cover with gloves to get skin soft and supple even more quickly.

Face Wash

With its antimicrobial properties and moisturizing abilities, coconut oil for skin is perfect to clean your face. It will kill any bacteria while hydrating skin.

Skin Conditions

Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, coconut oil is on a rise in popularity for treating skin conditions like eczemapsoriasis and other skin conditions.

Pure, unrefined, virgin coconut oil is one of the most natural products available today. For one thing, it is highly stable on account of being over 85% saturated oil, so it does not require any additives or preservatives. Secondly, coconuts are still a GMO-free item.

The next time you are tempted to purchase expensive cleansers and moisturizers for your skin… Remember coconut oil. Your skin will thank you.
