Can you share a bit about your background, specialization, and what initially drew you to holistic nutrition?

I’m a Licensed Holistic Nutrition Practitioner and the founder of Nutristica, specialized in women’s health. My journey began with my own health challenges—I struggled with menstrual issues and found myself frustrated when conventional medical solutions didn’t fully address my needs. This experience led me to discover holistic nutrition, which opened my eyes to the importance of a whole-body approach that considers not just what we eat, but also how lifestyle, emotional health, and individual needs shape our well-being. Specializing in women’s health felt like a natural fit. I work extensively with women navigating hormonal imbalances, menstrual health, perimenopause, and conditions like PCOS and endometriosis. My approach is centered on understanding each client’s unique story and creating a space where they feel truly heard and empowered. Through holistic nutrition, I’m able to help women reconnect with their bodies, interpret the signals they might have missed, and make meaningful changes that improve both physical and emotional health.

What unique approach or philosophy do you bring to your work that sets your practice apart?

My approach to holistic nutrition goes beyond just food; it’s about connecting the body, mind, and spirit. I believe health isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I work closely with each client to address the root causes of their concerns. By focusing on the mental, emotional, and even spiritual dimensions of wellness, I help clients achieve lasting transformation. I also place a big emphasis on creating a positive, empowered relationship with the menstrual cycle, seeing it as the “fifth vital sign” that provides valuable insight into a woman’s overall health.

Can you share a success story or transformation from a client you’ve worked with?

One of the most rewarding transformations was with a client who had struggled with PCOS and had nearly given up on finding solutions. She had faced years of frustration with conventional treatments that didn’t address her unique needs. Through our work together, she gained clarity on her symptoms, developed a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan, and learned to track her cycle and respond to its cues. She’s since experienced more regular cycles, reduced weight fluctuations, and fewer issues with blood sugar, like constant hunger or feeling hungry quickly after meals. The impact on her self-confidence and quality of life has been amazing. She told me she now has the knowledge to understand when her body is signaling that something is wrong and to truly listen to it.

How do you stay inspired and continue to expand your knowledge in the ever-evolving field of holistic nutrition?

I’m passionate about learning, especially in all the areas of women’s health, hormonal health, and other holistic healing practices such as meditation, Reiki, yoga, etc. Staying inspired comes naturally when I’m engaged in such transformative work. I regularly attend workshops, read books, collaborate with other wellness professionals, and am always seeking to deepen my understanding of holistic approaches that consider the whole person. My clients’ journeys are also a big inspiration, they remind me every day of the impact this work can have, and they motivate me to keep expanding my knowledge.

What’s one habit or daily ritual you’ve integrated into your own life since becoming a holistic nutrition professional?

I love my morning rituals. I start the day with a 10-minute meditation, then move into a strength workout to energize and ground myself, followed by a high-protein breakfast—something I recommend to my clients as well. This combination helps me stay balanced, focused, and ready to take on the day with a clear mind and steady energy.

If you could share one piece of advice to your fellow holistic nutrition students and graduates of the program, what would it be?

My advice is that every client you meet is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, no matter how small it might seem at first. Listen deeply to their story, honor their unique needs, and trust in the value you bring to the field. Holistic nutrition is a journey, and each person you work with will help you grow as a practitioner. Stay open to collaboration and build a supportive community around you.

Looking ahead, what goals or projects do you have for the future of your wellness practice?

I have some exciting plans on the horizon for Nutristica! I’m working on creating recipe bundles that focus on balanced, nutrient-dense meals for women’s health, as well as offering more workshops to reach and support more women in their wellness journeys. Building a strong, supportive community is a big priority for me, as I believe women thrive when they’re connected and empowered together. I’m also preparing for a detox program launching this January, designed to help women reset and restore their health naturally as we enter the new year. Additionally, I’m exploring the possibility of hosting retreats and expanding my knowledge in other holistic healing practices to offer clients a complete and immersive wellness experience.
