Homemade Healthy Granola
This is a simple recipe that will add some flavour to your weekly meals. I usually make a batch on Sundays to have on hand as a topping for yogurt or smoothie bowls, or even simply on own as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups of Oats
- 1/4 Cup of your Favourite Nut Butter (I like to do a combination of almond butter and natural peanut butter)
- 1/4 Cup of either Honey or Maple Syrup
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Ground Flax
Directions
- Combine oats, chia, flax and cinnamon together in medium sized bowl
- Combine your nut butter and honey/maple syrup and melt slightly in the microwave
- Add in vanilla and stir well
- Pour nut butter mixture over oat mixture and still until evenly combined
- Spread mixture over greased cookie sheet and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25 min
- I like mine a little crunchy, so feel free to reduce time in oven to 20 min for a less crunchy end product
