The banana walnut smoothie is a simple, quick, and nutrition packed recipe. A very healthy and tasty breakfast for kids. In the morning rush, it’s easy to prepare and quick to consume. My kids love this, my younger one loves to have this smoothie with sunflower seeds.
This smoothie is loaded with Vitamins, Minerals, Essential fatty acids and protein. My kids feel energetic almost instantly and it gives them endurance until lunch time. It’s a combo of mind and body nutrition. Keeps them active, and alert to grasp all the knowledge in class and have fun in recess.
Banana Walnut Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 4-5 pieces of walnuts
- 1/2 cup milk /almond milk/coconut milk
- Sunflower seeds – topping
Directions
- Add all the above ingredients and blend it to desired consistency
- Add few sunflower seeds if desired.
- Tip – If the banana isn’t ripe then add 1 tbsp of jaggery (unrefined sugar made from cane or palm) or any other natural sweetener of your choice!
