Benefits Of Mangoes

I love mangoes. They are a delicious tropical fruit. They remind me of relaxing by the beach, indulging in a nice juicy mango.  Besides reminiscing about tanning by the beach, mangoes are so healthy and beneficial to our health. Let me share with you some juicy facts…

Mangoes can:

  • Clear skin
  • Lower cholesterol
  • Prevent cancer
  • Improve eye health
  • It’s an alkalizing fruit
  • Improves digestion
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Helps fight heat stroke (good thing I eat it while sunbathing right?)
  • Helps reduce diabetes

Mangoes are high in vitamins and minerals. They are also a good source of antioxidants. Mangoes should be eaten everyday to reap the amazing benefits. You can do anything with mangoes.

Tips:

  • Make a delicious mango lassie. Very popular in Indian cuisine
  • Chop some up and eat it in a salad for that hint of sweetness
  • Make a face mask with pureed mango and honey
  • Blend frozen mangoes in a food processor and get instant mango sorbet
