Health Benefits of Bananas!

Growing up I had a strong aversion to bananas. As a child, when I asked my mother what there was to eat she would always try to persuade me to have a banana, but I refused. To this day, if you ask her to tell the story it involves me, a tantrum and a smashed banana. Fast forward many years later and here I am including this fruit as a staple in my diet and raving about the nutritional benefits and how versatile it can be.

Nutritional Facts

The banana is a tropical fruit and is a great source of:

  • Potassium
  • Iron
  • Selenium
  • Dietary Fiber

Eat all the Bananas!

  • Bake them into Pancakes or Waffles!
  • Use as toppings for your oatmeal
  • Use them in smoothies! Freeze ripe bananas and throw them in the blender
  • Bake with them — banana bread & muffins
  • PB & Banana roll ups
  • On their own! We can’t forget about the way nature intended us to eat this fruit
  • Top your fav frozen yogurt with bananas
  • Dipped in chocolate & frozen
  • Try one of the many “Nice Cream” recipes available on the internet

Add bananas to your diet to reap all the nutritional benefits!
