Here’s a quick and easy homemade alternative to store bought ice cream snacks.
Homemade Greek Yogurt Popsicles
Equipment
- Blender and spatula
- Popsicle molds
- Freezer space
Basic Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt*
- 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit
- 0 to 5 tablespoons milk (your choice; cow, coconut, nut, other)
- Sweetener to taste (your choice, honey, maple syrup, agave nectar, other)
Extras (Optional)
- Chopped nuts
- Chocolate – cocoa/pieces/chips
- Toasted coconut
- Oatmeal
Instructions
- Place Greek yogurt and fruit in the blender.
- Add extra ingredients if using.
- Blend to desired consistency adding milk as necessary (mixture should be a thick pouring consistency.)
- Tasting after each addition, slowly add sweetener to obtain desired flavour.
*Be aware that if you choose to use flavoured Greek yogurt there is already sugar added and additional sweetener may not be necessary.*
Fast and simple, this is a great summer treat for kids and adults alike!
