I love oats. They are so versatile; you can make anything with oats.
Here I have a delicious recipe for overnight soaked oats. I eat this before my work out every day. It keeps me full and satisfied and ready to hit the weights!
My Overnight Oats
Recipe
- 1 half cup of steel cut oats (or rolled oats but I prefer to use steel cut since they have more texture to them)
- 1 cup of almond milk ( I use original unsweetened)
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tsp of maca powder
- 1 tbs of chia seeds
- 1 tsp of cacao nibs
*Optional: drizzle raw honey to add some sweetness
Instructions
- Pour the oats in a bowl or container
- Add the cinnamon, maca, chia seeds and cacao nibs to the oats
- Pour the cup of almond milk over the oats
- Let sit in the refrigerator over night
The next day the oats have soaked up all the almond milk. Mix it up and enjoy!
