Trail Mixes are one of the easiest grab and go snacks. Most times they include a variety of ingredients which can satisfy lots of different preferences. However; normally the ones that you can buy in the store included added salt, m and m’s, too much dried fruit and not enough of the essentials that you really want in a snack.
That’s why I create my own! And today I want to share it with you! This trail mix is so easy to make, only includes 3 ingredients, and can be pre-made into snack bags or mini Tupperware that are ready in the cupboard to grab before you run out the door to kids activities, are heading on a road trip or if you are just feeling peckish at home.
This recipe is loaded with Super foods and healthy fats and is perfect to fuel your body.
On the Go: Power Trail Mix
Ingredients
- 12 raw or roasted unsalted almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon cacao nibs
- 1 teaspoon dried Goji berries
Directions
- Set out a small Tupperware or snack sized zip lock bag
- Portion out each ingredients and mix together into chosen container
Repeat for as many as you would like to make up
It’s as simple as that! I make up tons of these on the weekend and use them throughout the week until they are gone! I also have a few in my desk at the office 🙂 You never know when you are going to want a power snack 🙂
