As a Mama of three, one of the things I struggle with most is finding food choices that everyone likes, never mind ones that are also healthy. I find breakfast extremely difficult because there is less time in the mornings and making a full-scale breakfast on weekdays is just not in the cards for our family. That is why I started making smoothies a regular thing in our house!
Not only does everyone get a well-balanced breakfast out of it but it’s so quick and easy for a busy work week and the kids love it! Here is one of my favourite recipes that is jam-packed with antioxidants, Vitamin C and potassium.
Purplicious Smoothie Explosion
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup frozen kale
- 1 whole banana
- 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
(Makes 2 servings)
