Raw Cacao!
After a long and stressful day at work I love to incorporate cacao nibs in my pre workout snack for that extra energy boost that I need in order to work out like a beast. While bitter in taste they pack a punch in health benefits!
Raw cacao is a powerful superfood. It contains over 300 different chemical compounds and is 20 times the antioxidant power of blueberries and 119 times more than bananas!
Raw cacao contains a good source of protein, calcium, magnesium, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, sulfur, iron, chromium, manganese, zinc and flavonoids. They have a high concentration of antioxidants such as polyphenols, catechins and epicatechins.
