Smoothies are a good way to get adequate nutrition in our busy lives. Sometimes it can be tough as I am constantly on the go, but having a smoothie in the morning sets me up for the day. I use my weekends to prep my fruits and vegetable in a ziplock bag and freeze,it literally takes me 5minutes in the morning and i have my nutrient dense, vitamin packed super food for the day. It taste great and it’s a great way to sneak nutrients into your family’s menu without resistance. I just like the fact that I have consumed something that will benefit my health first thing in the morning and it helps me make a conscious decision to stay healthy throughout the day. The best smoothies should be nutrient-dense, providing vitamins,minerals,good fats and fiber necessary for good nutrition,we need good fats so our body can assimilate the vitamins & nutrients we get from the fruits and vegetables. My Recipe
Just blend and you have a healthy drink for the day,you can also freeze and make icelollies for the kids,now you can replace one or two of your meal depending on how you feel and of course change the variation of fruits and vegetable around so you don’t get bored.What are you waiting for?
