Frozen fruit is not all created equal…read the packages and make sure there isn’t any added sugar!
Don’t you love having a cold treat on a hot summer day? I think we all do! I spend my days with little people and treats are a big deal, especially when we are playing out in the sunshine!
This is a healthy fruit popsicle instead of the store bought ones that are full of added sugar!
Summer Fruit Pops
When choosing frozen fruit make sure it doesn’t have any added sugar. You just need frozen fruit! A cup of frozen blueberries with no added sugar has 13g of natural sugar and 79 calories. A cup of frozen sweetened blueberries has 45g of sugar and 186 calories!! So pay attention and read the label.
This recipe gives me pleasure knowing I am satisfying the sweet tooth and cooling down while still being healthy!
I don’t really measure! I just put it all into a blender and then pour into popsicle moulds.
Ingredients
- Frozen fruit (any kind, my favourite is mixed berries) Read the package to make sure there are no added sugars (I also choose Organic)
- Coconut Water
That’s it!
Blend and Pour into popsicle moulds.
Freeze and enjoy!!
- you can also add some fruit into the popsicle moulds before pouring the blended mixture in!
