Tasty and Healthy Guacamole
Ingredients
- 4 ripe avocados.
- 1/4 teaspoon Celtic sea salt.
- 1 Tbsp. of fresh lime juice or lemon juice.
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion.
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped cilantro.
- 1 small clove of garlic.
Preparation
- Cut the avocados in half. Remove seed. Score the inside of the avocado with a blunt knife and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
- Using a fork, roughly mash the avocado.
- Sprinkle with salt and lime (or lemon) juice. The acid in the lime juice will provide some balance to the richness of the avocado and will help delay the avocados from turning brown.
- Add the chopped onion, cilantro and garlic.
- Place in a glass recipient and cover it with plastic wrap to prevent air reaching it. (Otherwise the guacamole will become brown.) Refrigerate until ready to serve.
