The Benefits Of Being Alkaline

I remember the day, many years ago, when I learned that disease can only exist in the presence of an acidic body. Was this true? I was dumbfounded. Why was this information not widely known? Acidic bodies are at the heart of chronic inflammation, arthritis, fatigue, headaches, cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and many more conditions and illnesses. How many people know that? Having that little piece of knowledge can make such a HUGE impact on people’s lives! Maintaining proper pH levels is really the key to achieving impeccable health!

That’s right… Acidic foods directly impact the body, causing inflammation and leading to the development of chronic illnesses. So, how does one accomplish this? Increasing the alkalinizing minerals, potassium, calcium, iron, zinc and magnesium will help you achieve this goal. These come from foods such as fresh, organic fruits and raw vegetables… Juicing is a great way to get your daily dose of both! You can also start your morning out with a nice, big glass of water with some fresh lemon… This will actually alkalinize the body as well.

By consuming a diet that’s composed of approximately 50% to 80% alkaline foods, you will be able to maintain a proper acid-alkaline ratio. The typical American diet does not provide this, as it usually contains a ton of refined and processed foods, with a load of added sugar and unhealthy fats. It would be much better to replace these foods with healthier acidic foods like beans, oats, and organic animal products. The key is really to find the right balance to maintain the proper pH.

A good way to know whether your body is too acidic or alkaline (or hopefully just the perfect pH) is to test your urine or saliva with a pH test strip on a regular basis. Don’t fret if your body is too acidic…most people are…give it a good few months and watch as your body eventually adjusts to just the right pH. When you’re no longer dealing with the above mentioned chronic conditions, and you feel so amazing, it becomes super easy to eat well and realize the benefits of the healthy food choices you have made.
