Let’s talk Turmeric!

It’s the time of year when colds linger, sinus infections are plenty and you’re always blowing your nose.

I recently had a whole crappy sinus thing going on and decided to try to fix it naturally rather than with over the counter sinus meds or worst case, antibiotics. (I know in many cases these medications are necessary but I feel trying to heal naturally first is the best option and then when that doesn’t work, medication is needed). So I concocted a Turmeric Tea to drink daily to try and kick inflammation and help my body heal on its own.

You know what? It worked! It worked beautifully.

I drank the tea once a day for four days and felt amazing. I stopped on the 5<sup>th</sup> day and I could feel the run down, pressure in the sinus and ears building again.

I ‘didn’t have time’ to make the tea for about a week.
I noticed I felt worn, more tired, pressure, blah.

Last night I made myself the tea again, because honestly, I enjoy the taste of it! And I woke up feeling so much better, you don’t realize how run down you feel until you do feel better. So here I will share my magical recipe with you, for when you’re not feeling 100%, and this is not only good for sinus inflammation, but if you have joint pain, digestion issues etc. Everything in this tea has amazing properties.

Turmeric Tea

Ingredients 

  • 1 Slice of Lemon
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Pinch of Turmeric
  • Hot water
