As if kale chips aren’t addicting or healthy enough already, I got a game changer for you!
Kale is one of the most nutrient dense foods on this great Earth! It’s loaded with vitamin C, K, & A, antioxidants, minerals and has so many amazing benefits!
Nutritional Yeast is a salty, savoury, cheesy flavoured deactivated yeast that can be added to many foods. It’s an excellent source of fibre, minerals, complete proteins and vitamins. Especially Vitamin B12 which makes it a great addictive for vegans and vegetarians, since this vitamin comes mostly from animal products. Sprinkling some Nutritional Yeast on your Kale chips makes them more satisfying than ever before!
Vegan Cheesy Kale Chips
Ingredients
- Kale
- Nutritional Yeast (add to your liking)
- Any other seasonings you might want
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F
- Wash any dirt off of the kale & dry very well using a clean kitchen towel or salad spinner.
- Tear the stems off the kale, ripping the leaves into about 2″ pieces. The kale will shrink up a bit once baked.
- In a bowl, drizzle kale with oil and evenly coat the kale with your fingers. Try not to bruise the kale.
- Arrange the kale leaves on a parchment paper lined baking tray, making sure there is no overlap. This is also where you sprinkle the nutritional yeast on and any other seasonings.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until edges golden brown, flipping once.
- Start munching! You can store them in an airtight container for up to a week if they last you that long!
