Whole Food Plant Based Diet Food Pyramid
I started on a whole food plant based diet 2 years ago. What I found so helpful was this whole food plant based food pyramid!
What is hard about starting any new healthy lifestyle is figuring out what to eat and how much. I love this pyramid because even if a person is not following a whole food plant based life style they can still incorporate this food pyramid into their daily life.
The benefits of a whole food plant based lifestyle are:
- Increased energy
- Helps with cardiovascular health by reducing intake of saturated fats
- High in fibre!
- High in nutrients and minerals
- Can aid in weight loss or even weight gain!
- Can aid in chronic disease prevention
- Detoxify your body
- Provide sufficient if not more than enough protein
Honestly, these aren’t the only benefits. There are way more! This post would be 10 pages long if I could list them all. I think everyone could benefit from this food pyramid and incorporating more fresh plant based foods into their diets each day!
