Yoga & Health
5 benefits of practicing yoga
Along with great nutrition, looking after our body, minds and souls are equally important.
- Our physical body can improve in many basic ways building strength and flexibility. Most will think of yoga as the asanas or the postures. Amazingly though our bones and cartilage, health will also improve plus sitting up straight with great posture.
- The mind, Yoga is far more then just moving around, yoga is attitude and mindfulness. When practicing daily yoga your focus and intention become clearer, you will find a calming affect and if you suffer anxiety or depression this could well be the answer.
- Good health and nutrition. Eating a well balanced plant based diet is great for your health and well being or even fasting. Well along with your new healthy diet throw in some yoga for blood flow, reducing weight, releasing hormones, immunity and lowering blood pressure.
- It’s vital our body and mind are balanced with our soul/spiritual selves no better way then through the traditional practice of meditation or pranayama. Connect with your true source and tune energy.
- And finally FREEDOM, freedom through discipline. Stop being a slave to the system and distracted by social media, simply sit and breathe.
Through meditation you will sleep better and transform your life forever.
In New Zealand we greet people by saying “Kia Ora,” which means “be well or be healthy” just breathe!
