Holistic Health and Wellness Holistic Nutrition Coach British Columbia

I moved here to Nelson, British Columbia with my family in 2006 from Toronto.  My whole life I have been interested in health and wellness.  I was a national level athlete throughout my youth and university days.  I attended Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1988.  My greatest achievement up until then was varsity athlete of the year in 1985-86.  I went on and pursued a career in the health and wellness field, working in private, public and corporate fitness facilities as a wellness co-ordinator, group fitness leader and personal trainer for about ten years.  Due to health issues starting in 1989/90, I was only able to work part-time and continued working in the health and fitness field until about 1998.  It wasn’t until 2006 that I continued my education and training in the wellness field and took a 100 hour professional certificate course in Chair Massage. A year later, I became certified in the Usui System of Natural Healing (2nd degree). I have thoroughly enjoyed bringing the healing power of touch to many people for the past 11 years and plan on continuing to do so.  I was ready for more so I  started on this path towards becoming a Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach after becoming a client first.  Over the years, I had gradually made dietary changes to include healthier choices, but it wasn’t until I saw a health and nutrition coach in December 2016 that I really started making big changes in the way I ate and lived.  Together, with the exercise program I was put on for 12 weeks, I really noticed a big improvement in my well being.  I was able to come off the meds I had been on for several years as well.  It was during this time, I decided I wanted to further my education to become the best I can be, help my family be the best they can be and eventually help others to achieve the health and abundance that we all desire.
