“Clean eating is not just one diet, one set of guidelines. It’s not a straightforward list of foods to eat and not eat. It is a way of thinking about food and how it makes us feel.” – Alejandro Junger, M.D.
In my practice, I stress the importance of having a holistic approach to wellness. While the foundation of the services I provide are based on nutrition and using food to heal your body I believe it is critical to also incorporate practices to help clients maintain a healthy mind and spirit. I coach clients on mindfulness and educate them on how food is more than calories, but rather information telling our bodies how to run. When we put that information to use and eat clean, our bodies have a miraculous ability to heal themselves.
My area of focus in college was Neuroscience and Psychology. Prior to having any formal education in nutrition, I self taught by reading up on various approaches to health and incorporating lessons learned on my own wellness journey. In the most recent years, I have learned how to muscle test and became a certified Reiki practitioner. These seemingly random and disconnected studies have given me the skills to take a unique, holistic, and customized approach with each client.
