Nicole Miller

Holistic Nutrition for Health Penticton

A little something about me. I started my journey to health and wellness with a deep passion about two years ago. I had hit a wall with my endocrine disorder, PCOS-Poly cystic ovarian syndrome, and I knew there was a better way to treat my symptoms and to take control of this stressful condition. That is when my new health journey began. I started following a whole foods diet. I dropped processed foods, white sugar, dairy and gluten. I started taking more time to nurture my own needs and I learned to love myself enough to take care of my body by only putting healthy real foods in it. I lost approximately 60 pounds and got off synthetic medications. I really owe a lot to Amy at www.pcosdiva.com as this was my jumping off point to my health journey. I highly recommend the information available through pcosdiva.com for anyone dealing with poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Amy has done all the work and research and offers loads of free information as well as programs and meal plans through her site. Not only did I get control of my PCOS, but I got happier! Go figure! I was nicer to myself and in turn I felt good about myself. This positive cycle continued. Feeling good about myself allowed me to be happier and therefore more pleasant to be around and definitely put me in a better space to treat others in a nicer way. My perspective on my own circumstances changed and I was able to see that those things I had considered burdens in the past were actually blessings in disguise that helped me to move forward on the path to better health and happiness. PCOS became a gift. I had to be thankful for the horrendous challenges that it had put me through, because those challenges had made me stronger and had set the foundation for where I find myself now. Had I not had health challenges, I truly don’t know if health and wellness would have become such a passion for me. I am grateful for those less than positive challenges that have led me to this point and my wish is to inspire and help others on their own health and wellness journey. The first step is the hardest. Really truly learn to love yourself for who you are, not for what you think others would like you to be. Trust me it can be a hard concept, but the freedom it allows is abundant. I hope my Blog will help to inform and inspire you on your own journey! Love, light and health. Nicole I know what it feels like to not be at your best self. I have been there and I know I feel a lot better in the place I am now.
