Our philosophy is not based on calories, diets or restrictive living. The focus is on nourishing the body and learning how to recognize how food choices make you FEEL and the state of your overall health vs it solely being about a number on the scale. Diets don’t work. We know this yet it is still a billion-dollar industry wrought with disappointment, shame, and unrealistic expectations.
Food is our energy source; it provides the nutrients that the body needs to function and thrive. What we eat (or don’t eat) is directly linked to productivity, mood, motivation, intuition, chronic illness, energy levels, immune system function, body image, and self-confidence. For many, it has become a complex mix of emotion, comfort, addiction, and voracious hunger.
We live in a world where food has become nutrient-void chemicals in a box, convenience at a drive-thru, and so far from what real food really is. People are sick, tired, and obese – and it is only getting worse. This course provides a solid foundation in holistic nutrition and nutritional healing while opening the door to a new way of living.
Fundamentals of Integrative Nutrition also introduces you to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda in relation to the power of Live-Food Nutrition.
Ayurveda is a phenomenal resource for ultimate health. Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old body/mind practice from India. Through a constitutional approach to healthy living, it teaches us how to successfully tailor a nutritional program to suit individual needs.
