This protein waffle is vegan, gluten-free and perfect for a post-workout snack.
Protein Waffle
Ingredients
Dry mix:
- 1/4 cup chickpea flour
- 1 scoop gluten free protein powder (any flavour)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp flax seed
Wet mix:
- 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
- Optional 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Optional Extra flavourings ie cacao powder, crystallized lemon, chai spices etc.
Method
- Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, stir to combine
- Whisk in non-dairy milk until consistency is thick
- Cook for approximately 10 minutes in a waffle iron on medium heat
- Optional Top with banana ice cream
