Matcha is a form of green tea leaf that is grown under special conditions in Japan. The leaf is then ground to a fine powder. Because of the way it is grown, it retains a large amount of the chlorophyll absorbed by the leaf. It has the same amount of caffeine as green tea, so it is perfect for your morning pick-me-up!
This green tea powder was traditionally reserved for special ceremonies for royalty and Samurai warriors. For a special treat, find yourself a matcha bowl and whisk. Using this set treats your morning ritual like a ceremony, starting your day off right.

Matcha Latte For Breakfast

Ingredients
- 2 tsp Ceremonial Matcha Powder
- 1tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey
- 1-2c Almond Milk (unsweetened)
Directions
- In a bowl with a matcha whisk, add the matcha, syrup and a couple tablespoons of the milk
- Whisk well so that there are no clumps left
- For best results, whisk in a “W” shape
- Once blended and frothy, combine it in a separate cup with the rest of the milk
- Add ice cubes if desired
