The first step in making coffee healthier is to choose organic varieties. Coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world exposing farmers, consumers, and the environment to synthetic fertilizers and harmful chemicals, such as pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Many of these chemicals have damaging effects on our health and contribute to toxicity and disease within the human body.
