5 Ideas for Nutritious Snacks

5 Ideas for Nutritious Snacks

Getting a snack between meals is very important. It keeps your body in burning mode and keeps you from over eating at lunch and dinner.

Here are my 5 ideas of nutritious snacks:

  • Apple and Peanut Butter: when combining these two, you get a good amount of fiber, protein and vitamins.
  • Mixed Nuts and dried fruit: nuts are high in protein and good fat. Dried fruit has amazing benefits to the body but watch your portion because they are high in sugar.
  • Granola Bars: make sure you buy/make granola bars that are high in fiber and low in sugar.
  • Pop Corn: it makes a great late night snack! It’s low in calories, high in fiber and makes you feel full for longer.
  • Strawberries covered with dark chocolate: when combining these two you get high amounts of antioxidants, fiber, and Vitamins, especially vitamin C.

Enjoy!
