Are you trying to incorporate more turmeric into your meals to take advantage of its anti-inflammatory properties? This all purpose spice mix can help. Simply mix it up, put it in an empty spice jar and use it on everything!
Add or remove spices from the list of ingredients according to what you have on hand and your own particular tastes.
Anti-Inflammatory All Purpose Spice Mix
Ingredients
1/4 cup of each of the following:
- Turmeric
- Fresh ground black pepper (important for improving the absorption of the curcumin in the turmeric)
- Himalayan salt
- Ancho chili powder (or cayenne or red chili flakes)
- Ground coriander
- Garlic powder
Directions
- Mix everything together
- Adjust amounts to suit personal taste
- Pour into an empty spice bottle. Store any extra in a glass jar in the fridge or somewhere cool
- Use liberally on eggs, in soups and stews, in stir-frys, anywhere you would use salt and pepper to season
