Drinking Coconut Water For Weight Loss
Coconut water is the fluid inside the coconut, and is not the same as coconut milk, which is made from the flesh. Tropical cultures have been drinking coconut water for centuries because of all the natural health benefits it possesses; most importantly it’s weight loss properties.
For myself, I have only recently learned about the health benefits of Coconut water and was completely amazed. I no longer buy the expensive, high calorie, opposite of natural sports drinks and now drink coconut water during all my workouts as it is an optimal beverage of choice if you are looking to hydrate your body without consuming excessive calories, artificial flavours and putting a hole in your wallet.
It is a natural drink low in sodium, but high in minerals, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, zinc, B-complex vitamins and potassium that revitalizes your cells and boosts your metabolism. With all these natural properties, it is a pure drink which keeps away fatigue and restores energy allowing your workouts to be done at your optimal performance.
I can attest to that as I now have 6am workouts before the hustle and craziness school mornings bring in any household and I am able to complete my reps as if I was completing them post coffee at 9am without leaving me completely wiped by school pick up time, where more craziness happens with evening sports and activities.

Coconut water increases your metabolic rate by keeping you hydrated, as dehydration drops your body temperature which effects your metabolic rate in a negative way. Consuming coconut water enhances fat loss as it is a low calorie option; therefore, you can drink as much as you want and not worry about drinking your daily calories, all the while getting the full feeling and satisfying your cravings.
So instead of grabbing that colourful, artificial and expensive sports drink before a work-out or on a hot day grab a can of ice cold coconut water, pump out a great workout knowing you are consuming a refreshing drink with tons of health benefits.
Cheers!
