A fantastically simple recipe for gluten-free folks looking for an easy to make, delicious tortilla! In addition to being gluten free this recipe is also sugar free, vegan, high fiber and nutrient dense.
Gluten Free Amaranth Tortilla’s
Ingredients
- 1 to 1-4 cup amaranth flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp of your desired seasoning (such as cumin, chili powder, salt, oregano etc)
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients together in bowl
- Mix together to achieve a dough which is soft but not wet, and can mold easily
- Add more water or flour if necessary
- Create balls of dough about 1 1/2 inch big
- Coat in additional flour and roll them flat
- Cook tortilla in a non-stick pan without oil for a few minutes on each side
Makes approximately 6 tortillas
