Nachos have always been a stable appetizer in most restaurants and especially pubs. I’ve shared my set of fair platters and can vouch for why they are so popular. With all the different toppings available, the options are endless!
So let’s throw another option into the mix! One that provides a little more nutrients while still giving into the basic crunch we desire.
Not Your Average Nacho
Base
Ingredients
- Handful of Organic Unsalted corn chips (or any other organic chips)
- Himalayan salt – ¼ tsp
- Extra-virgin Olive oil – ½ tsp.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Toss chips with olive oil and salt
- spread onto backing sheet
- Bake for 8-10 mins
Topping
Ingredients
- ¾ cup Hummus (I used edamame hummus but any flavour would do!)
- ¼ cup chopped orange bell peppers
- Half an avocado
- 1/8 tsp of minced garlic
- Alfalfa sprouts (garnish)
Directions
- Chop pepper and avocado into small pieces
- Mix in the hummus & Garlic
- Dish on top of baked chips
- Top with Alfalfa sprout
