Turnip Fries
So, the local market had a great deal on turnips, and of course I just cannot pass up a such a good find! Now what? What on earth am I supposed to do with this beautiful turnip I just purchased?! Make fries of course! Who doesn’t love an oven roasted fry.
Now I know these root vegetables are not the easiest to cut up but let me tell ya’ they are worth it, in fact once I get cutting, I will chop up 2 or 3 into fry style. Once they are cut and seasoned, spread your hard work onto a parchment lined tray and freeze, once frozen store in air-tight container for future yumminess. 😊
Recipe
- Cut raw turnip into fry style pieces
- Place raw, cut turnip into bowl and lightly oil, I use olive oil
- 1 Tbsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp oregano
- 1 Tbsp parsley
- 1 Tbsp basil
- Spread on baking sheet
- Bake at 425 until tender and slightly browned, approx. 20 mins (depending on thickness of cut)
Enjoy!
