Kat is a professional photographer with a passion for vegetarian food and holistic wellness.
Her personal journey into the world of holistic wellness began after an old sporting injury flared up in her early 20’s, causing her to become less active, gain weight and become an unhealthy version of herself. After a three-year process of seeing this Doctor and that Doctor, a bunch of X-Rays, MRI’s and medical specialists later, she got an inconclusive diagnosis and at age 23, the only solution that was given to her was to take anti-inflammatory pills to manage the pain. It was after this, that a recommendation to see a Chiropractor turned Kat’s life around. In one consultation her Chiropractor diagnosed the suspected problem and began adjustments to treat the issue. It took some time, but after regular adjustments, she was pain free and was completely mobile again! It was here that her weight-loss journey then began and after many failed attempts at ‘dieting’, Kat discovered that the key to healthy weight-loss results was simple – a balanced diet of nutritional whole foods combined with regular exercise. Theoretically, this was easy, but in reality it took time and a complete mindset shift and so, in 2016 – after starting to work with her own health and fitness coach – began Kat’s journey to improving her lifestyle.
Her personal story, in addition to being surrounded by various health issues in her family – from Allergies and Obesity, to Diabetes and Cancer – set her on a discovery of finding her own passion for holistic and nutritional healing and wanting to coach others.
Currently a student on the ‘Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach’ certification, Kat looks forward to working with people to help them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle.
